It’s a little tricky for me to articulate just how much I am in love with the amazing city of Prague, it’s tile of the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of Central Europe is a title its very deserving of indeed.
It has amazing attractions, both past and present, which adds to the charm of the city. One of the main things that I love is how affordable it is to live in. It’s cheaper than nearly all other cities on the same continent, for me that’s a good enough reason for it to be one of my favourite places to visit.
Here are 3 reasons why I think you’ll fall in love with the city as well and want to book a flight asap.
The people can make or break a destination for me, if you’re faced with locals that don’t really welcome you or help you out it doesn’t make for a relaxing holiday. Well, you will not find either of those things here. The people are extremely warm, friendly and always willing to help you out when needed. As soon as I stepped off the plane and in to the taxi all I saw was smiles and warm people – the perfect start to any trip away.
Travel back in time
When you stroll around Prague it really does feel like you have taken a step back in time. One of my favourite things to do is find a good walking tour online and then follow it around the city – I don’t mean paying, you guide yourself. The medieval feel to the city will strike you instantly as you walk along the cobbled streets and cozy alleys of the old district. It seems that wherever you look you will see the amazing old architecture that showcases the rich history of the city. The most impressive being the Prague Castle, which is over 1,000 years old.
As I mentioned before, the cost of Prague will make it even more attractive to any visitor. I, as many of you do, love saving some pennies when I travel, especially if it’s in a place as breathtaking as Prague. I think if you work remotely you may even consider moving there when you see how cheap you can live. The beers, transport, accommodation and food in Prague are so much cheaper than any of the other main cities in Europe.
